(per)versionofatruth
my favorite song-writer, which no one cares, or will even agree because you've probably never listened to any of the songs he's wrote, would have to be Chad from mudvayne... if you'd all open your minds and try listening to 'em you would see that he's definatly better than bob dylan or for fucks sake, Micheal Jackson... whoever that was that put him as a great song writer, seriously... what the hell? Anyway.. a snippet of his writting ability... and other than him, I have to say my favorite song writter is Danzig.. yes, you heard me right.. danzig.. from the misfits.. Glen, fucking danzig is the best song writter ever.. Johnny Cash, AND Roy orbison actually asked him to write them songs, along with a host of other's.. the song less than zero, for the movie soundtrack... Danzig wrote it.. thirteen, by johnny cash... Danzig wrote it.. and along with writting all his songs, he writes the music and hires his musicians for the album, shows them what he wants done, give sthem a the sound and they play it. He has an album of composed music called black aria that is badass... here's the mudvayne song"Mirror mirror... Upon the wall I'm asking you"Who is the most confused of them all?"Mirror mirror... Subservient twin screams back at me "You!"You sick flawless mime, I want to break youYeah, you're a clever one...Do you reflect me?Or do I reflect you?Are you inside of another world?I wanna break through!Yeah, you're a clever one...Is this a tool, can I step through, to find another plane,Or just a shadow of a manA superficial tool, to support the vanity of weak, When you don't love yourselfIf life's as painful on your side, I'll break yourExistence and cut through mineYou're a clever one"Just my opinion, but thats badass.. Gnar
John Lennon is, hands down, my favourite songwriter of all time. Neil Young is a close second.
