xxAmandaxx
there's just one answer John LennonI agree with Amanda that Lennon was capable to write some great albums but I think Macca was the drving force behind the beatles. Lennon was more of a talker than a songwriter.Lennon of course. McCartney?? No way!!! Lennon was the genius behind the Beatles. They were both equal but if anything mccartney was the better of the 2, but to answer the question id say jeff buckleyYou like his solo work? santana
Elvis Aron Presley, was such just a grat singer! and is my favorite after Axl RoseBut then Axl Rose had to share hes throne with Elvis^^but 2 kings would be nice too, Elvis desverves itt too.Sorry but there was, is, and will only be ONE King. And he shares his throne with no one. Edited April 17, 2006 by santana

JeanGenie
Lennon of course. smiley-heart.gifMcCartney?? No way!!! smiley-anger.gif Lennon was the genius behind the Beatles.nah during the end when the best songs were written Macca took over as songwriter while Lennon was busy with bed ins and stuff like that. Macca was generally more focused on the music. Although I truly appreciate Lennons songwriting.

axl04
Roy Orbison for the fact that had he lived we may have gotten more stuff from the Travelling Wilburys. And Micheal Hutchence, hes a great songwriter with a good voice. His replacement is an absolute shithawk
Guest Ohdistortedsmile1789
I clearly didn't, I thought he took smack with all that San Francisco mob?Well, sure he did hard drugs, but probably no more than Lennon did. He wasn't a drug addict is all.
artfromtex
I WOULD VOTE JOHN BONHAM BEING ON THIS LISTNO DEAD BONHAM, AND ZEPPELIN WOULD HAVE CONTINUED.........................Because We all want another In Through the Out Door...if Keith Richards died after the "Black and Blue" album, we wouldn't have gotten "Some Girls". i'm sure Zeppelin would have rebounded. although, ITTOD is not a bad album. it has a few bad songs, but it also has some really good ones.on topic, i voted for Elvis. it would of been great to see him clean up and make a second comeback.
