Solidius
If it's properly tuned, the strings should be somewhat "tight", especially the higher ones. It's normal.
johnezz
I love the feel of tight strings, tahts why i play with ether .11 or .12 guage string sets in Standard E tuning, i love the pull and fight the guitar gives, makes me put more effort into my playing, it also slows me down and makes me concentrate on the single notes.Anyway,If you like the feel of slacker strings, just tune down a whole step or more.OrUse a lighter guage of strings, .9 guage is very slack. quadlaser
does this guitar have a floyd rose? if it does, get 9 or 10 gauge strings
Slash 20
does this guitar have a floyd rose? if it does, get 9 or 10 gauge stringsIf you're not using Ernie Ball Slinky's get 'em. I had to use GHS strings once on my crappy strat and it sucked so much. They were way too tight for my liking. Slinky 9's and 10's are looser. I just switched to 11's and I like them a lot. I was thinking about getting an epiphone les paul 100 or a studio or standard well i own an epiphone les paul custom, and one thing i wuld do is change the pickups almost straight away the stock ones suck, but apart from that i like my les paul alot gd guitar although others may not agree. And being left handed i had to pay more as well which sucksstring wise i always play in dropped tuning so i use Ernie Ball 2215 Skinny top Heavy Bottom Strings Edited April 20, 2006 by Perfect_crime49
