slashs_servant
I never said anything bad about him. I love him.The creativity of lennon and mccartney combined was greater than the sum of their individual work.

Lithium
Yup, you've gotta love the man. My favourite Beatle.I can't count how many biographies I've read about him Edited April 20, 2006 by Lithium
Guest PULPY
I love John Lennon. And agree with Lithuium, i've read so many biographies. But I think he was great with McCCartney too, he's definitely one of my idols (lennon) but I tend to dislike Yoko for some reason.Anyway Lennon Rules. Our teacher in history said we might be able to to do the 50s 60s and 70s after we did WW11 and I was like yay, hippies and CND marches and John Lennon! But it was more like cold war, etc. Which is equally intweresting. It would be a shame if this turned into yet another lennon vs mccartney thread. JeanGenie
How on earth can you say that Lennon was nothing without McCartney. Lennon formed the Beatles and was the driving force behind it. He also wrote some of the greatest songs ever:I never said Lennon was nothing without McCartney I said they were nothing without each other. I don't deny that he wrote some of the best songs ever but he also wrote trash and he admitted it himself. fact is he was in the beatles and not in the John Lennon band. and another fact is that macca kept the wohle thing together and not lennon no matter if lennon started it or not. and another fact is that lennon was not always super creative and at times was more focused on making politic statements rather than to write a good song. I really appreciate his genius and he's one of my favorite songwriters ever but you need to stay on the ground and accept the facts.

Guest +*Michelle*+
Yeah, I love Lennon too, definitely among my favourites. Personally I think John was better off alone, his solo work is much better than the beatles in my opinion. My favourite songs would probably be sommit like, Love, Cold turkey, Jealous guy, Whatever gets you thru the night, Just like starting over.
