what scale should a beginner be learning? and where can i find them?

I only recently started learning scales as when i started learning guitar i didn't think they were imprtant theyre great to know and ive made some awesome solos out of the G major scales

You'd probably be better off learning your pentatonic scales, then major and minor scales.

Pentatonic scales are made up of 5 notes maybe the easiest scale

A minor pentatonic. Start on the lowest note. Basically just move that box up and down the neck for the different minor pentatonics, eg 1 fret up for B flat, 2 frets up for B

A major pentatonic, its the same pattern as the minor pentatonic just three frets lower, and without the lowest note. Start on the 5 because it's the root note. Move the shape up and down the neck for the different major pentatonics.

fuck, i dont know any scales, i play off of what i think will sound right, and i think i sound pretty damn good. you screw around long enough on the geetar, you'll learn patterns that sound decent enough.
