I know it was talked about before but here it is again. I just got back from Hastings(its a big music/dvd store. They have a little search computer and I searched for Guns N' Roses. Weeeell on about page 11 it had Greatest Hits 2 and the Ultimate Best Of Guns N' Roses listed to come out on June 6th 2006 which is a date many have mentioned because of the Friday the 13th appearance. Just thought I'd share.

I don't believe that the box is an official product. Just interview discs.

Remember that guy Corn Mo or something met Axl back in March and he mentioned on his myspace that Axl said the record company planned to stick out a second Greatest Hits first and see how it does. Here is a quote from an email he sent me a while ago:

yeah, it is weird. he was really really nice and very patient. he was in a

room with really hot girls and took time to just hang out.

the label is wants to see how a greatest hits album does. i think they

just put one out last year but who knows?

I had just asked him about his meeting of Axl and he mentioned the GH2 in his reply. I think that Greatest Hits 2 might actually be genuine. It would make sense. They release it and gain more publicity for Guns N' Roses and people notice that Axl is on the verge of sticking out a new album. It also can boost concert ticket sales. I've always thought a GH2 would be released before 'Chinese Democracy'.

we don't need a goddamn greatest hits 2. we should absolutely refuse to buy it if the label does that!

part of me thinks that GH2 is a cover up for CD, possibly in an effort to try to prevent leaks.

I felt the same. We have all just proven that the GNR namesake can go to great lengths. But then again...

I wouldn't be opposed to it.... it's kind of lame that their first Greatest Hits album has FIVE fucking covers on it... especially when they have so much other great original material. Maybe tack on a few tracks from the new band at the end as a bonus...

:rofl-lol: little late to prevent leaks!

A band with four proper albums of original material and they are going to have two greatest hits collections

This would be a horrible idea. Why would the record company want to put this out first in order to 'see how it does', what if it tanks, then they wouldn't put out CD? I don't buy that, and I wouldn't buy a GH package either.

CD needs to drop by, or not long after, that date because the tour will be going on and CD has to drop before a full on North American Tour or it will be a mess.

What, drop GH one month and CD the next? I just don't see any ROOM for this disk!

CD NOW PLEASE. :krider:
