Ride The Lightning
I just don't like being criticized when I have a reasonable point like that. I know Led Zeppelin pretty well and I am entitled to my opinion on them. But you can't be surprised when it creates the kind of reaction it did. I immagine you said what you said in order to incite it.Not really. Someone reacted to my opinion on the song, and I elaborated on it. That's all.Yeah, and I understand that there are many, MANY better blues/slide players out there besides Jimmy Page. I like the song nonetheless. And I don't think Ohdistortedsmile was trying to stir up any tension, he was just giving his opinion.
moreblack
Coda. Why exactly? Just curious....I just think it's a really consistent entertaining album.I still feel that Wearing and Tearing and Walter's Walk should've made it on their actual albums when they were still active. moreblack
I agree. Wearing and Tearing is one of my favorite heavy Zeppelin songs.I was pretty surprised that Plant pulled it off (with Page) at Knebworth '90. Sounded awesome live too.
Ride The Lightning
Did they play it live any other times besides at Knebworth?
moreblack
Did they play it live any other times besides at Knebworth?I don't think so, I know they didn't do it at all on either of the Page & Plant world tours (95 & 98). And they haven't done much playing together since. Except for the Tribute To Sun Records gig at the Montreux Jazz Festival some 2 years ago. But that was all rockabilly stuff they played. They did pull out an old rare gem that night though. Candy Store Rock...
