w 23 axl
the sound from the internet feed was "off the board", meaning, it wasn't what it REALLY sounded like in the crowd. What we heard was the sound board mix.......you hear mostly vocals and non-amplified instruments, like drums, keys (vocals) etc....the guitars were low in the mix b/c they have STAGE VOLUME, while the keys, drums, vocals have little or no stage (keys) volume at all.ive played shows where we got the audio "off the board", and compared to what people heard in the crowd, its totally different.thats why the crowd sounded low.....the only guitars u hear are very low rhythm guitars...sometimes the solo's pop thru the mix too much...but again, what we heard was noa true representation of the real, total sound, and the crowd audio

bandita
funny I watched the whole thing and I kept hearing different things, low vocals, too much guitar, then too much bass....then amazingly the sound kicked back in at the end...I don't think this was a coincidence. badwhip
the sound on better was horrible coming and going axl vocals seemed by themselves at times. then after it was over he mention he was doing something they dont normally do to piss some people off. could he had the drum solo to piss the sound tech off and have time to bitch at them because after that the sound on the next songs til the end was ten times better. this is the song i was waiting to here live and it didnt sound nearly as good as the rest. GnR lives on
i agree with the guy above me... it was all over the place...the drums were loud as crap in one song, most of the time it was the whole guitar squad that overpowered axl...that beign said...i think these were wayy better sounding than what we got from NYC... and i think it was amazing that hey did this for gnr fans and put it on the web for everyone to see a whole show.....THANK YOU AOL MUSIC

Axls_Disillusion
If the sound was seriously that crappy at the show, Axl would have stopped playing and started yelling at someone. He gets pissed off enough about slight fuck ups. Not being able to hear any of the guitarists for most of the show was a huge fuckup, it couldn't have really went down that way and Axl just put up with it. cd06
what the hell was up with the mixing, i listened to rocket queen and it sounded like complete shit, you have the vocals all the way down, and the guitar all th eway up, completely drowning axl out, does anyone have an explanation for this? he sounded good, but you could not hear him at all

teknophyle83
A lilbit hell...the whole thing was fucked. I was pretty annoyed that The Darkness seemed to be mixed just fine (yuck), but GNR sounded so bad through the feed. Oh well...at least GNR looked awesome.
