A tour of Spinal Tap proportions, Use Your Illusion was supposed to cement Guns N' Roses' status as the

world's premier hard rock act. Instead, it just escalated the band's disintegration and was marked by rioting,

walk-outs (guitarist Izzy Stradlin quit in November 1991 afer Axl Rose told him he'd have to take a pay cut)

and rock n' roll excess. Rose demanded his own dressing room and kept crowds waiting as he consulted his

therapist and chiropractor, while the band had limos on call 24 hours a day and staged lavish aftershows

which featured private casinos. According to drummer Matt Sorum, "We spent $100 000 a night on parties."

Twenty-seven countries and 26 months later the tour -- and GN'R as a band -- was finished.

Is that actually true all of that, thast alot of money to spend :P Im not sure about that Izzy bit, i thought he left because he didnt wanna do stadium tours, he wanted the simpler club shows.
