MetaSouL
I've been a GNR fan since '87 and never have I heard the solo to SCOM sound as good as this one. The recording quality is B+, but the guitar work is untouchable: Finck - SCOM Solo - Budapest '06~M

Axls_Disillusion
that really sounds no different than usual. Finck always nails that solo you just couldn't really hear it at rio 6.

It's nice that he plays it well and all, but that is what he's being paid to do.
highvoltage
That's better than a B+, more like an A if you ask me. Yes, it's good, but I don't think it's as good as the original.

KBear
Don't know what purpose threads like this serve other than to goad the Slash fans into a fight. When you get one you guys will whine that you hate them.Anyways, best ever? That's getting a bit carried away. It was a cool solo but not the best ever.Slash wrote the damn solos that this band plays. They are considered legendary, as is the man himself. He's a fantastic writer and just as great a performer. He has helped the band put out four albums and done hundreds upon hundreds of shows. If you can't respect that track record I don't know what to say. It's funny watching some fans try to lessen his legacy and pretend that Finck and the new band somehow are above him. Slash is regarded as the top guitarist in the band's history and probably always will be, unless there is some kind of miracle on the horizon. Get used to it folks, and stop trying so hard to change that already. Let's respect the man for what he did, and move on and try to enjoy the new band cuz they are pretty damn good, and if we can't have the old band then this is probably the next best thing. Some of the Slash fans need to learn how to let go because nothing we do will change the fact he's gone, and some of the Slash haters need show some respect to the man who gave us the riffs and solos that made GN'R a powerhouse in the first place, and have ironically helped to give Axl the luxury of being able to create Chi Dem at all. nathalie92
Well it's not bad,Robin is playing so much better this solo than in 2001 and 2002,it doesn't sound as good as the original version, but he's making a great job playing it with his own style..Of course i love Slash he's the man of the "Sweet Child solo" no one is going to play it the way he used to, but we have to recognize Robin's talent and good work as well...
