artfromtex Posted June 27, 2006 Share Posted June 27, 2006 do yourself a favor and buy Cheap Trick's new album, Rockford. it's really good. probably their best album since "Dream Police". very catchy tunes. great music, and Robin Zander sounds just as good as ever. sadly this album is getting no airplay and it only sold 10,000 it's first week. with crap like 50 Cent selling millions it's a crime that good music goes unnoticed. so the next time your CD shopping, please keep this CD in mind.Art........ Cheap Trick was the first concert I had ever seen (Chicagofest on Navy Pier in 1981). The new album is their best in years but not better than All Shook Up and One on One that were released after Dream Police. I think there is one more that is better as well but I can't remember the name right now. On the other hand the new Joan Jett and the Blackhearts album Sinner is her best IMHO since the classic I Love Rock in Roll which was released way back in 81. Zint Posted June 27, 2006 Share Posted June 27, 2006 Little Steven gave the new album a great review on his radio show,highly recommended it.I saw Cheap Trick a few times....waaaaaaay back (first time was opening for Kiss on the Love Gun tour).I caught one of Rick's guitar picks (still have it),it has a cartoon drawing of his face on it.great live band...anyhoo...yeah,I'm tempted to pick this one up based on the positive word surrounding it!
