W. Axl Kev
I've been debating with a friend about who the lead guitarist of GN'R is. He thinks it's Bumblefoot and I say it's Robin.I think, it would seem obvious to say that the lead guitarist is the one who takes the majority of lead parts and that is Robin Finck. However, my friend believes that Bumblefoot is the lead guitarist because he is 'better' than the other two. Good point. In 1997 Matt Sorum took Axl to see Robin play and said to Axl. ''That guy could be a great accompiament for Slash'' and Axl replied ''No. He could be a great replacement for Slash''. Don't let blatant truth influence your decision though.Thoughts guys? f**k_your_enemy
If they had to have just one lead player i'm sure it would be Robin... but I think they all mix it up and each play lead on different parts.
Ready2CrashandBurn
I think that Robin will be the lead until bumble gets fully comfortable. he only joined the band about a week before the hammerstein shows, and he still probably had to learn a lot of solos and stuff. I think eventually he will develop into the lead guitar.
Axl_morris
Not because he is better but because Bucket was said to replace Slash...And Bumble replaced Bucket!
IZZYISGNR
It is Slash, and it'll always be like that, like it or not. Edited July 10, 2006 by IZZYISGNR
Grimo85
I don't think theres much point in labelling one as lead or whatever, because they all have a go at solo-ing at some point in the shows, whereas Slash always used to do the solos and Izzy kept the rhythm.I have my doubts about whether Ron will be around after the tour, think it may end up with just Robin & Richard.Grimo. W. Axl Kev
Except wear the baggiest trousers ever recorded what does Pitman do? However back to the argument peeps. I know they split the solos but Finck plays more than any of them.

F*ck Fear
Robin plays most of the leads so I'd say he is the lead guitar player in the band. But all three do mix it up.
