If Axl were to do a primetime, hour long interview....

I think it should be a Barbara Walters-type interview with someone who is an experienced journalist - who knows the issues, the music and the history - but is experienced and reputable in the field to know what questions to ask and how to ask them. It should be someone who knows how to ask the tough questions - but in a sensitive and objective way - to get the answers - not just create headlines. I think the interview should be insightful and interesting - not safe or sensationalist.

That's how I see it. :D

Axl should host SNL. :P

I agree, People like it when stars go on that show and make fun of themselves, its very good PR and also recieved positively by media spinners and tv viewers. Axl should guest star on SNL and Jimmy Kimmel should interview him. He should stay away from daytime talk shows.

Fuck Howard Stern. He's a pervert and an asshole, and I find him to be very demeaning.

Then you've obviously never listened to him do interviews then. Ignore the porn star and stripper crap. Listen to him interview. He's great.

Yet you approve of Oprah who is nothing but a racist. Go figure.

I've yet to hear Howard do a "great" or insightful interview. I mean, there's only so many different times you can listen to him ask a rocker how many groupies he "had" the night before - and what his favorite positions were. His interviews are strictly for "shock" and "sensationalism" and to see how many gullible and lonely guys will tune in to live vicariously through the sex talk.

I admit the show where Axl and Baz phoned in (when Axl was married to Erin) was entertaining -- but certainly not insightful.

Just my 2 cents.

Stephen Colbert!

or maybe John Stewart..... if he can handle it.

Yeah that'd be awesome.

Stewart's interviewed former GNR guys before

Beat me to it, Colbert or Stewart would be hilarious!

Stewart has interviewed former gnr members? Sweet, i didn't know that, he went up ten cool points

Yep I agree with you, only I don´t know any of those journalists you talk about but for the description that you´ve done, this woman seems to be a good choice. :)
