The Volitan
What's you price range? On any level I suggest a Dean V. Even thier import models ($500 or so) will walk all over anything else/
f**k_your_enemy
Yeah a Dean would be cool... I may just buy a Jackson ala Buckethead I seen some cheap Epi's too...
The Volitan
Yeah a Dean would be cool... I may just buy a Jackson ala Buckethead I seen some cheap Epi's too...My main guitar is a 1961 or 1962 (can't tell what year) Gibson LP Doublecut. Great axe, and I'm very fortunate to be able to play it. But a few weeks ago, I got the chance to play a Dean Dimebag Razorback. I think they are made in Korea. It's definitly not a USA guitar. But man, that guitar plays just as good, if not better than the Gibson. Dimebag even played Dean imports (ML's that is) onstage beofre he died. I think he was playing one whe he died even. bottom line, Deans rule.

kevdo242
I've got a Stagg Flying V. Quite cheap and the tones quite good.
quadlaser
i find deans really hard to play for some reason, it's seriously an acquired taste. it must be the big fat necks. i'd go with jackson.they don't make the kv-6 anymore, but check some pawn shops and ebay. that guitar was sweet AND cheap. I never knew how to sit with the flying v for ages but once I got the hang of it it became second nature, sat the dime exactly the same way too. Bucketslash
stagg v's are B- qualitythier perfect until a professional record deal comes aroundwhen you have the money a record deal, the cheapness is great, put in burst bucker pros, throw in a tremolo, and you got something greatcustomize it with a bell hammer pickup switchwhen you get a high quality guitar, strip the frets and make it a slide guitarthe only low thing is that the frets are kinda weakplaying for 3 months nonstop, and i created a groove on the 5th fret
Slash 20
ive heard nothing bad of the deans and the look fucking cool. the regular v's i mean
Guest Ohdistortedsmile1789
I love a good V, but I would advise against getting an Epiphone, something just feels so wrong about them to me. Why have an Epiphone when there are real Gibsons? That's why I would get something atleast a little different like a Dean or a Jackson.
