Liam adopts monkey

Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher has adopted a monkey after being told the hairy primate was the spitting image of himself.

Liam was at London Zoo with his two children, Molly, aged seven, Lennon Francis, six and younger brother Noel who joked about the likeness.

Liam's children were said to have quickly fallen in love with their Dad's lookalike - a Red-Faced Black Spider Monkey - prompting the wild rocker to insist on adopting their new friend, according to reports.

London Zoo offers a scheme where anyone can adopt an animal at the zoo. For a minimum donation of £20 they get a photo of their chosen animal, updates on its progress, free entry to the zoo and a magazine subscription.

Liam is understood to be making a substantial donation to the zoo and intends to take his children for regular visits.

The Red-faced Black Spider Monkey comes from South America. London Zoo says monkeys are particularly popular with people looking to adopt a new friend.

Liam is a legend. :D

Noel leaving the band is unthinkable, but it wouldnt be the end of the world. Andy Bell is arguably one of the best songwriters of the 90's, and Liam is great at writing fractured pop gems.

A very under-appreciated Oasis song, the sheer energy of his delivery is mindblowing.

it's a shame what happened to the greatest voice of the 90's, quite sad isnt it?

liam is a top frontman' but as is shown in this collaboration with ian brown noel doesn't need him

basicly ian brown could easily take over on vocals

liam is a carbon copy of ian anyway' thats were he got his style from

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_6HFfHGrf0

sure the stone roses made liam want to be in a band, but Ian brown live was average at best and most of the times he was dreadful. The Stone Roses were a great band, a great live band they were not.

Liam may have started the band but Noel wrote everything on Definitely Maybe, What's The Story (Morning Glory) and Be Here Now, an achievement without comparison. Enough said.

AHM, did you have to pick the worst clip ever? ;) But I agree, his voice is not as it used to be.

Not making a judgement here, just an observation...I've watched Oasis become massive stars in Europe etc.,

God-like figures in the UK...yet North America barely gives them the time of day.

Yeah they have a following in North America...but the buzz just isn't larger than life, nobody's fawning over their every words.

The Liam and Noel feuds are considered laughable at best..(and a shrewd gimmick).

...it's just been curious to me observe the polar extremes in their popularity.

Same with Blur though...right? And same with The Verve until Urban Hymns. I guess most of North Americans don't like brit pop...

And about Liam's voice..lol...yeah his voice has changed and I never really noticed how much, but then again, it's 11 years difference between those 2 clips, what did you expect?

yeah for sure...Blur,Verve,Stone Roses...the list is endless really

not just Britpop though....doesn't seem to be a whole lot of British rock catching on in North America

The Darkness were just laughed right off the map..

It strikes me as odd,in that,North America used to (and still do) worship Zep,Stones,Beatles,Floyd,Bowie,The Who etc.

hmmm...maybe I just inadvertantly figured it out

I know a lot of you people think Im obsessed with Oasis, but it's the same as a lot of you being obsessed with GNR!

Yeah, most Oasis fans are real Northern gobshites, and the brother to brother feud is comical (wibbling rivalry anyone?), but I have to say:

They have produced great albums and each one is unique, yet familiar.

Liam is getting to lose his great voice, there is more of a buzz in Dont Beleive The Truth than in Definately Maybe. But saying that, Axl's voice isn't what it was! It's just getting older as a musician.

I saw Oasis live in February, and plan to see them if they have a Greatest Hits tour, and they blew the roof off of the Nottingham Arena. Even if you don't like their work, you have to admit they're a great, if not superb live band.

In short...Yes I am obsessed with Oasis!

Look at my last.fm page for proof!
