Bryan
In the Coming Distractions (Yuk Yuk) of today's issue of the Sacramento, be, on page E3, there was a blurb about GnR. It's the picture of Axl squatting right in front of the camera, howling into the mic. The caption beneath the picture reads "Axl Rose is the only remaining original member of the rock band Guns N' Roses".The Headline: YOU DONT WANT TO MISS LEGENDARY ROCKERS GUNS N' ROSES"Boy, Distractions goes on summer vacation and the show calendar goes crazy. Seriously, folks, there's like a gazillion things suddenly going on in the next couple of months. The biggest one? That would be the Oct 2 Guns N' Roses date at Arco Arena. It's been a million years since the legendary Rock Band's last album (a promised new disc "Chinese Democracy" has been held up for so long it's turned into something of an industry joke); their last tour was in 2002--a stint cut short after singer Axl Rose bailed on two shows. These days, Rose is the only remaining original member--former Replacements bassist Tommy Stinson, keyboardist Chris Pitman, and drummer Brian "Brain" Mantia make up the band's new lineup--but we say the show's worth your money if only for the spectacle factor. Get your tickets ($39.50, 49.50 and 75) starting at 10AM Saturday via Ticketmaster.com or Livenation."Something about this just makes it all seem so amazing, together, and real--I got shivers seeing Guns N' Roses in the headline. Any typos in the above text are my fault. Also interesting to note who she picked of the band members to talk about--Pitman, lol. But at least now we know how to spell his name.~Bryan Edited August 23, 2006 by Bryan

Outtagetme
The beginning of Paradise City is the only part I can recall keyboards being used. All it is is synthesizers sustaining 'G', 'C', and 'F' chords.

Anyway, the point I tried to make was that they didnt pick up Dizzwald until after AFD.How long until some pathetic Axlite tries to advance a theory that Dizzy WAS an original member because at some point before AFD came he and Axl may have briefly occupied the same physical space?Wouldnt surprise me, anything to make it look like Axl didnt continue this band on his own. Vincent Vega
The band actually wanted him to join in 1986, but before they were going to ask him, he got into a car accident or some sort of accident and fractured his hand, which made him unable to play keyboards for a few months so in the end he didn't join. However, in 1990,he was about to be thrown out on the street, and Axl as his friend had him come in and audition, and after hearing what his keyboard sound added to some of the new songs, he was contracted and joined. He was friends with the whole band at one point, because he played on the Slash's Snakepit album along with Slash, Gilby and Matt.

I like his bar room piano style, went well with the Snakepit albums too.
