Not really a great singer. He's good and fits the music, but doesn't belong on a top 50 vocalists list.

i really enjoy his vocal performance and he's really consistent. although they're getting progressively more formulaic as a band, i love the majority of their work, which he contributed a lot to.

His lyrics and melodies are great. I love the Chili Peppers (seeing them live in three days, yes!!), but as a vocalist, I don't think you can say he's one of the ten best ever.

well to each his own; i understand your point, but my choice remains...

have a good time at the concert, brotha i saw them on the 'by the way' tour about 4 years back, they were unbelievable. the only rough part was sitting through the mars volta (i like them now, but MSG was just too big for them at that time and they just made noise for an hour) and almost getting my hair lit on fire by someone firing up a bong behind me :anger: . the peppers were untouchable, though. enjoy! rock3
