Axls mic thrown and then taken back?

There were a few people that went for the mic and the guard actually hit one of them from what I was told after the show.

These are employees of the Hard Rock, not GNR. They were dressed in Hard Rock Security shirts and they were all gigantic except one guy up front by the barricade with a ponytail.

That being said I still would have taken it and run or if I had it in my hand and he went for it I would have knocked him in the head and run saying this :fuckyou: on my way out!

Ha ha imagine the gorila´s face after being hit with the mic :xmasssanta: :monkey:

The last GnR show I attended was in Kansas City 1992 @ Arrowhead Stadium. After "Paradise City", Axl went to the edge of the stage and softly said "You ready" into the mic, and threw the mic towards the sound board. I think he was trying to throw it to one of the sound guys/roadies, not a fan. Just a guess.

Well, Axl certainly doesn't have the aim of someone on the Major League, that's for sure! I can't imagine he really thinks he is going to be able to toss something into the air over 1000's of people and have it hand in his own management's hands without a fight!

If you catch the thing ALWAYS hand it to the guy your with or girl and hide it! So then they can't get it!

The mic in my hands would be much more dangerous than in the hands of my boyfriend, I would be much more likely to use it as a weapon against oncoming brutus security guards! :)

You would be reading about me the next day in the papers for sure!

Jarmo posted on HTGTH that Merck said the security guard had nothing to do with GN'R, and that Axl does give away a mic each night.
Merck asked me to say that the security guard in question, if he really was one, has nothing to do with the band!

Also, Axl does indeed give away a mic each night.

I remember him. My friend and I thought he looked like Keanu Reeves, except for the ponytail.

Security seemed to be on the guys mostly. There were two guys standing behind us and this one guard, a huge black bald dude with a goatee, kept coming over and hassling them for really no reason. It started to get annoying.

Yea he spent a lot of time on the left side towards the merch booths right in front of where I was standing on the barricade. He was kinda cute and the only one under 250 lbs, haha. I didn't see many gals dragged out, just a few, mostly guys. I did see them threaten a few people over cameras though-

At least GNR/Management is aware this is happening with the mics now and maybe they can instruct the security in the future not to be so aggresive towards the fans!

I witnessed this on Saturday night when the Mic landed just behind me. The Security guys were already in the crowd looking for it when the thing hit the ground. They had their flashlights out and were scoping out my area before anyone came up with it.

Hi sunglasses landed by me as well, but nobody went after them.

Change the topic title, 'Indian Giver' is a racist term used towards Native's.

If you catch the thing ALWAYS hand it to the guy your with or girl and hide it! So then they can't get it!

Yea, change the title to something regarding the security, it was changed on HTGTH and already proven that Axl had nothing to do with this incident at all. Indian Giver is a pretty rude term and it should be changed for that reason alone. No need to insult the true founders of this country while discussing GNR.

EDIT: Thank you UK Subs for the quick fix! :)

Axl is just fooling around with the fans. Another proove how much the fans really mean to him.

It's like...a lot of rap music is so political and anti-white people oriented but still people like that. If you're stupid, you're just stupid...or maby you don't want to see that that someone is fooling with you arround that really means something to you.

...well...It hurts.

poor guy :(

not to mantion, how many mics did he broke and shit like this in detroit...but than a lucky guy can't have that mic for 10$

Of course..MERCK don't won't that to happen...coz the bilance sheet will have unrepairable damage! :fuckyou:

merck said he gives the mike out every night. we already know that. the point is- does he intend to have it returned. merck didn't answer that question directly. i know the security doens't work for the band, that they work for the casino, but they would do something the band or its management instructed them to do.

when we talked to a employee of the band outside spectrum in Norway, he said that each time Axl threw his mike, it cost him $13 000 or $1300, can't remember which ones right..

So they didn't take it back back then.. maby the security guard was told to take it back if he could cause it cost so damn much, or he knows he can sell it..

Did anyone at the show notice he used a different mic 4 PC and threw that one into the crowd. He used his red mic the whole show then both nights switched to a regular one before PC and tossed it to the crowd.

So....you think he threw a cheap/dummy mic into the crowd?

Makes sense if you think about it.
