Bush Doctor- Peter Tosh

If you like Tosh, you should consider buying the "Honorary Citizen" box set.

It's really great, it has 58 pages of liner notes, and 3 CD's:

CD1- Jamaican Singles

CD2- Live

CD3- Hits and Classic Album Cuts.

Well worth the cash, or at least borrowing it if it is available at your public library.

That box seems like something I should look into, I've found it very difficult to get deeper into Reggae. Thanks!

You'll probably like it. It also includes Peter's duet with Mick Jagger. And Keef plays guitar on "Bush Doctor". Just beware that it's not the sunny reggae you might expect. Most of it is very political, although it does include some fun times, including a Bessie Smith cover.

cheers mate I'm gonna do that. I really like Tosh cause he's got more drive in his music. more than marley had. I appreciate Marley's music thou.

That's true, and I often feel that the rest of the Wailers don't get enough credit for the Bob Marley albums, even if Bob was the primary songwriter. To me, Bob & the Wailers were the greatest ever reggae group, but I can see why someone would prefer Tosh.

I checked the tracklist, and there's nothing Bessie did on there.

"Leave My Business" is a rewrite of "'Taint Nobody's Bizness if I Do". I guess I should've said rewrite instead of cover.
