santana
OK- I've seen about 4 Chicago threads now and this shit is getting confusing. From this point on, I dub this the *OFFICIAL* GNR in Chicago thread... until a thread opens in the Upcoming Shows forum. That being said... If the demand is great enough, Santana would NOT be totally opposed to having a pre-show Meet n' Greet/Autograph Signing Session. Hell- I'll even pose for a few pictures if I'm feeling up to it. oohwa
Hey if I drive (me and my 15 yr old son) I will be coming from southern part of state (Greencastle) I would be happy to pick you up, not sure if I am gonna drive or take a bus though. either way since it will be a long trip back it would be an overnight thing for uswell just realized it isnt actually in chicago, so megabus wont help so if we go (depends on how much tickets are, single working mom here ) I will be driving and it wont be much out of way to pick you up if you need a ride
tat2d1
we need to arrange some kind of pre-show party. I've only been to Allstate twice (once for GnR and once for Crue), so what's nearby?
A Cheap Hangover
rock1 rock1 rock1 rock1 rock1 I can't fucking wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!So where is the pre-show party gonna be?dude i totally just finished downlaoding your version of behind the music of of limewire(sorry i had to say that i recognized the name)Wow, that's still floating around? i put that up the day after the very first airing. I don't live in Indiana. If i did, i'd let ya hitch a ride. Can't you take the Amtrak or Greyhound?i prolly couldbut this is my mom talking"a 16 year old kid taking the train to a damn rock concert isnt a smart idea,im not shure i should even let you go, if you go and i smell weed on you i will make you stick a fork up your ass"just joking about the last partbut my mom is a bit over protectiveI'm only 15, and I've taken the train to all my concerts which were about 7. And other times going to Chicago to hang out with my friends. It's fun...except I hate paying so usually my friends and I hide and don't pay. tat2d1
Man, i just went ahead and reserved my motel room. Every freakin' motel in the area is completely non smoking now. that kinda sucks. is there still a smoking area at Allstate? Atleast i was able to get a motel just 4 blocks from Allstate. Now i just need tickets, lol.

But my dad already said I can't go, I don't give a shit anyway, me and my brother ARE going!! thank god he has a car.
AeroZach
I'm dying to go...but my folks won't let me That's the disadvantage of being 15. My dad said he doesn't want to pay for an "imitation" band which pissed me off. If only I had the money, I'd buy 'em myself!

I always save my lunch money and I get 20-30 a week. I just got 40 dollars for homecoming tonight, but I'm not going to spend it. I just need 30 more dollars for floor tickets. And I'm 15 too, my dad will only let me go if I also have a bunch of friends with, but my brother is going too so it's fine, he's 17. Are you planning on going yourself or something? Just say you're going with a bunch of friends if you have any that are older than you. I think about it now, all my friends are older than me. The problem with saving money though is that on Thursday I'm going to see Motley Crue and Aerosmith, and don't even have much money for that. I'll see if I can pull some strings and get to the show, because I wasn't too into GNR in 2002 when they came by. I also pretty much know I'm going to see the Who if they come by again in December (which I'm pretty certain will happen). So what are ticket prices anyway? Because if they're good enough I may just be able to go see GNR.

Because if they're good enough I may just be able to go see GNR.I looked on gunsnroses.com, and the ticket prices varied from show to show. The average was around $75. Add in venue charges and ticket fees and all the other fun things, and tickets will probably run you close to $100 each.

I'd go the really cheap route, but hell, as long as I can see GNFR! I wonder if my folks would let me do this one alone? I know my dad would. He let me go to Cubs games by myself before, and those people get insane sometimes
