adnan
The tracklist is absolutely magnificent. Of course there are a few classics left out, but overall it's just the best way to understand and appreciate this sort of music. There's everything here from Robert Johnson's "Crossroad Blues" at the start, through "All Your Love" by The Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton, and ending with Bonnie Raitt's "Round and Round" and a live version of "I Pity the Fool" with Robert Cray and Shemena Copeland. Everything's here, from the flashiest blues rock to the quietest acoustic blues. If you ever need to get into the blues, here's where you start. Explosive listen, it's all over before you realize. Tremendous disc. Track Listing:1.Cross Road Blues - Robert Johnson2.Muddy Water (A Mississippi Moan) - Bessie Smith3.Devil Got My Woman - Skip James4.Evil (Is Going On) - Howlin' Wolf5.Hoochie Coochie Man, (I'm Your) - Muddy Waters6.Boom Boom - John Lee Hooker7.Death Letter Blues - Son House8.Hard Times (No One Knows Better Than I) - Ray Charles9.I'd Rather Go Blind - Etta James10.Thrill Is Gone, The - B.B. That's not to say the more modern artists on the disc aren't good.
