Nice list, kind of similar to mine. I don't see UYI passing AFD though....

In my humble opinion (and I wouldn't have to sit down and think about this) UYI2 IS the greatest album of all time. But like I said, that's just me.

I see it as the worst of the group's efforts. The beauty of opinion.

and I totally respect that. :)

But the masterpiece of every song, the journey that you're taken on... I'd take UYI2 to the grave.

Adnan, you should see if Q Magazine is hiring... ;)

or Kerrang!

They wouldn't hire me unless I didn't put MCR on my list.

Hmm but it depends on whether you think it's the journalists who create the existing music industry, or whether you believe the listeners at home influence which bands become successful...

Personally I think the internet gives us way more access to new bands (through myspace etc) but it's also kind of an illusion of musical democracy. The media still influences which bands get publicity and become popular "underground" successes.

So maybe you could become a journalist and change the music scene. ;)

Civil War, Yesterdays, 14 Years, Breakdown, Pretty Tied Up, Locomotive, So Fine, Estranged, You Could Be Mine - really good songs, ranging from simply above average to mildly great. I think it's their second-best album.

I disagree on all of those except "Civil War" and "You Could Be Mine".
