adnan
Perfect closer to a magnificent album. Really one of the best damn songs they ever recorded. Great lyrics, great riff, great solo, and a fucking amazing vocal from Mick. Edited October 22, 2006 by adnan

Guest Ohdistortedsmile1789
I don't understand why this song is so popular, it's one of the worst on the album.

Or "Some Girls".It's a weak track.

Jackamo!
"Miss You" & "Some Girls" are better than "Shattered"

Then you listed "Miss You" in the top 3.....For me this is easy:1) Gimme Shelter2) Sympathy For The Devil3) Tie: Get Off of My Cloud and Satisfaction (I know it's a commercial hit, but it was a hit for a reason)
Geduto
Shattered was in an episode of the Simpsons, right? For some reason I can only think of that when I hear it

highvoltage
"Miss You"Shattered > Miss You. ...Miss you was lots of fun live though.EDIT: Just listened to the whole "Some Girls" album again - Shattered was still a highpoint for me. Before They Make Me Run grates on me, mainly because of the vocal. Thoroughly enjoyable listen. Zint
Shattered is an awesome track...one of my favs off that album. The cool thing about Some Girls was it showcased so many different flavours within various genres.Shattered had a punk flavour to it...which was very cool at the time. That album proved whatever style of music they touch, they do it with style and class...and do it well.I saw the Some Girls tour and to this day it's the best concert I've ever seen. artfromtex
to me, the song is made great by two things. first, the guitar tone. i love the vibe it sets. second, Mick just goes off on this song. to me, this song sums him up perfectly. when i think of the Stones i think of "Start Me Up" and then "Shattered". ....and then heroin.... JONEZY
I love this song, love the whole album.I saw the Stones on the Steel Wheels tour 88 or 89. Apparently, on the first show in Philly, they played "Shattered" and the power went out. It came back on and they finished the show. But, since the power went out during "Shattered", they took it off the setlist(superstitious I guess), so I never got to see them play it live.
