radioflyer Posted October 24, 2006 Share Posted October 24, 2006 (edited) I had drinks last night with someone who works in the movie trailer business, and she told me that Guns n' Roses were suppose to deliver the new James Bond theme song for "Casino Royale" but it didn't happen for the usual reasons - so they had to go with Chris Cornell instead. Anyone else hear this? That would have been the PERFECT way to launch the album and tour - damn!I still think that Axl and company should stick a new song onto a big movie to get maximum exposure just like "The Dead Pool" and "Terminator 2" have already done in the past. This seems like it was a big missed opportunity - and better, more legit exposure than a motorcycle ad. Bond songs are best listened to in context - and that is over the opeing credits. This song gets pretty good when the orchestra kicks in - and that dude can SING!....Still, would have been cool if this was Guns n' Roses instead.
