KyleMac
nah, this is a concert song. I really think they should be playing it at every concert. I personally dont really care if its played or not, i just think it really gets the crowd into the concert. Big song for crowd participation and energy. UltraMav
I like both versions of the song, but I would like to hear the new band play the old version just to mix it up every now and then.
Cjc1706
As axl said at one of their shows, with it being a new band, they have taken the song and made it their own..... the old GnR made the song their own, so why not the current lineup.I think its for the best aswell.....CJ
Griip
Would be kickass as a hidden track on CD I think.. I LOVE all frigging versions of KOHD, by all artists. I have no idea what it's about it but I just love em all. Love how Slash plays the acoustic solos, all his other hundreds of solos, love the one Buckethead played, love Fincks, loves HAYAYAYAY scream from Axl, love the new softer version, and I frigging adore the new intro they made, AWESOME(!!!!, fuckin' BRILLIANT!), love how Dizzy can go nuts with a piano solo on hit, how Axl dances to the kickass rythm, man I have to stop before I appear as obsessed . Rock in Rio 3, is however, one of the 2 performances where they actually played it(as Jables would say) TO THE HEAVENS!! rr3 and argentina 93(last concert on worldtour).. potbreath
Oh my god.....I couldn't think of anything lamer than for a band to have to different versions of a cover song on two different albums. The only thing gayer than that would be having The Blues on a rock n roll album.

axlsfury
I love the new version. Thought the old version was bloated and kind of shitty. New version is more personal. Sometimes it gets a bit Reggae, which I don't really like, but nonetheless. Rock Am Ring Germany 2006 is a good version. UltraMav
I do agree that the original version of the song is terrible but I'm glad Dylan wrote it.
lame ass security
I do agree that the original version of the song is terrible but I'm glad Dylan wrote it.Just for the record, Dylan wrote the song for a 1973 western in which he appeared called "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid". So the imagery of guns, badges, and death were written to go along with the movie.
UltraMav
Oh well that's some good background info of which I was previously unaware. However my opinion of Dylan's version of the song is more based on the way it is sung rather than by the lyrics or the context in which it was written. At least this new version is closer to the original, which makes it a whole lot better. Even though the meaning and depth has been lost, it is closer to almost perfection. Charles Manson
FMTC 1992 is the best version of KOHD you will ever hear. (especially if you were there)Beats Dylans original, Beats the UYI2 version, Beats NuGnRs live version.

Dillon can't play. All the great songs he wrote someone else covered, and done ten times better. Want to give him some credit though so you realize that I realize what he is. He's a GREAT songwriter(and that's why he's famous, for being a poet, not a fuckin' artist).
