Everyone and their mother keeps complaining about tickets not selling well. Just wanted to remind a lot of people around here just how well GNR is in fact doing.

And here is a litte reminder for the nieve people that Pollstar has nothing to due with actual ticket sales. Read the fine print on the website.

That would be nice if Pollstar had anything to due with actual ticket sales. It does not however.

What does it mean then?

Perhaps you could be helpful instead of smug.

Then explain this to me.

I was a bit freaked out by that Puerto Rico pic we got here the other day. How far the stage was moved up, the darkened upper decks, the lack of people in the seats that were actually (presumably) sold.

So I went on the site yesterday and literally clicked on every available show. You can still get EXCELLENT seats for every show.

Isn't that troubling?

Jesus, you have to edit one sentence? Sure you know what you're talking about, buddy? What 'fine print' are you talking about. I must be blind. From what I understand, Pollstar rates an acts popularity by directly taking numbers from ticket sales. If you'd like to enlighten us and what it really is, I'm all ears. Don't come on here and claim something w/o offering valid evidence as such. If you're right, I'd love to know about it and I'll yeild. Until then, don't confuse anybody.

Someone mentioned U2 might sell out a stadium, but how many stadiums are they playing? GNR could play 5 arena shows and U2 one stadium in one week and they'll have the same numbers.

Nice one Matt. My faith in the band was a bit shaky until you found this snippet of info. It has served to give me a new found confidence that GNR are on the up. What does this poll tell us? This poll shows that Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band are almost twice as popular as Guns N' Roses. Nice!

Here ya go bub.

"POLLSTARS of the Web

Weekly chart showing the Internet's most popular tour itineraries as measured by fan requests on Pollstar's popular music fan site, Pollstar.com."

Notice no mention of ticket sales? It measures the number of times an intinerary is searched on that ONE website, and nothing to do with ticket sales. Pollstar does offer an actual chart that measures box office results, but you have to pay for that one. Since you are such a diehard, here is the link to those charts so you can go ahead and join and then really provide us the enlightening.

thats good news. Unfortunatly the ticket sales in 11/02 NC, are not doing vert well. The show is tomorrow and they have only sold 1 row of seats. I would estimate no more than 1,000 people at this time. 11th row seats still available.

That sounds pathetic, but actually it sounds confusing. If they had only sold 1 row of seats, wouldn't 2nd row seats still be available, not just 11th?

Get your head out and release the fucking album and watch ticket sales surge, (if the album is good.)
