Like I really want to see them dance for an hour, I'd rather watch Limp Bizkit than this crap. If I want to see strippers I'll pay $20, go down the road and get a full show.fucking stupid!Amen. I couldn't agree more. I thought this was a joke -- and it's not a funny one either. Either somebody in the GNR camp has totally lost touch with reality or they're taking desperate steps because they don't have confidence in the music. I mean, how many serious rock bands have to resort to strippers to attract fans? Is this their way of attracting horny prepubescent teenagers into their shows? I can't imagine any real music fan buying tickets based on this act.I agree too... but at the same time I wouldn't have a problem if they were the opening act... then bach... then GNR. (Not like there's anything wrong with that. )I assure you I am far from being gay. I have no interest in watching these girls parade themselves on stage. It is rather tacky for my taste. Working in entertainment for so long has made me quite immune to these male bravado, testosterone driven things. Plus, I tend to save my salacious behavior for myself and the party/parties involved. But I agree with Madison that a lot of fans (IE... women fans) aren't going to want to really sit through that. I have four girls in my group going to Baltimore who are not talking about meeting us there at 10:00 so they don't have to sit through it. So that's the problem.HOWEVER, I do agree that sex sells. Anybody that knows anything about marketing can tell you that. It's all around us... there's no escaping it. Hell, 75% of internet traffic around the world is laced with porn in one way or another.Tell me, how many of us here have never downloaded any type of porn from the internet? That includes pictures. The only ones who would be wetting themselves over the idea of seeing strippers open for a rock show are prepubescent teens who are too young to get into a strip club. jmo. Who gives a shit about openers? Frankly the music is 10 times better than Bach and Papa Roach put together. I would've preferred a band, for sure, but I won't call this stupid at all. It will do wonders for ticket sales.And btw, it's not a 'strip show', okay, look them up. They have tremendous critical acclaim as one of the best burlesque shows in history. As some have said, there's not much point in getting excited about seeing a strip show. Frankly, I don't even think I'd ever want to go to a strip club. A burlesque show is completely different. Half the attendees of their shows are women (close to, 43% approx.), which gives you some indication of how drastically different this is to a strip show.See, I will admit that I wasn't thrilled to hear this news when I first saw it, but thinking about it a bit: it's not a shit rap/rock band, it's not a full opening set from the joke of a person Seb Bach is, and it's an acclaimed burlesque show.
