Even if it's true, all you d$cks and the knob jockey from HMV would have just caused it to be cancelled. See there is no fun to a secret release, if its not a secret.

Expect to see HMV cancelling that album if it were true.

And lets face it, unless they are making it in deepest, darkest Congo where there are no phones, internet connections or westernised people, there isn't a cat in hells chance they could produce enough copies without being caught.

In future when you hear scurilous rumours, keep them to yourselves.

someone sounds pissy...

Merck just wants us to think that he's letting this thread go because it bullshit. But maybe he's trying to trick us and its true. But maybe its bullshit that is it bullshit and its true, in which case in the past truth has been bullshit....fuck this. I'm gonna go get drunk (thats right, its a monday) and watch south park.

Does anyone know if the topic starter has a history of being trustworthy?

This looks like the first topic he's started on this forum.

actually hes been here since 2005...

Yeah, but if you go in his profile and "find member's topics," this is the only one that comes up.

btw guernsey is an island near the channel tunnel and they release cds on monday....so possible

Another interesting *thought* that just struck me was that this is *quite* geographically near to a location in Southern England where it has been claimed that demo CDs for CD are kept. Some of the contents for these two CDs is also known/rumoured.

There you go again.

The idea of it being shipped under a false artist is entirely plausible. Star Wars 3 (of the original trilogy) was filmed under a different title so that fans/geeks couldn't disrupt the set.

i had a great idea!

How about Releasing the album as GUNS N ROSES and stop this stupidity!

Did Led Zeppelin or the Rolling Stones ever do something like this?!

You mean try to hide their identity? Led Zeppelin IV - no band name on the album. In Through the Out Door - originally planned to ship in an unmarked paper bag with no mention of band or title. So, yes they did.

We are also living in a time when if an album gets in a single persons hands it can be placed on the web in minutes and millions around the world can be listening to it before it is released. In the 70s this was never a problem.
