stiffupperlip27 Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 i am still confident we will get the album this year but i think even just a single will be enough to keep fans for another year. i dont think id be disapointed with a single and a release date for early next year if we got it this week.
mr.b Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Why does some cheesy 80's song come to mind, stand by me...Im with them all the way, after the show they gave us. Besides im not loosing anything by waiting, except my youth but sure. As for the forum, the people are good, the convos are good, discussion is open minded, so ill keep coming...
karlossacanell Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 I've been saying all along that December 19th is the most possible release date for this year. If its not out by then, I'm done with the forum stuff, I'm done with the tours, and the merchandise. This year was the first time in a while in which I was actually expecting the album. Everything seemed to be postive. We have heard multiple times "this year" "fall" "Late fall" "There are 10 tuesdays left...."I think if it isn't out this year, Axl made a gigantic mistake. He already lost the respect of everyone else... now he is starting to lose the respect of his die hard fans. For once, I think we actually believed him when he said "this year." He sounded so damn sure. We got the European tour, the four hammerstein shows, the US tour, he appeared on the VMAs... we got the trunk interview, the four "leaks." Everything seemed to be put in motion. Its going to be the same charade... next year its going to be "Summer 2007" then pushed to winter 07, then summer 08, winter 08.... when will it end? Its abundantly clear, the man is afraid of failure.100% agree ... personally i won´t go to any concert til the new album is out
Axl_morris Posted November 20, 2006 Author Posted November 20, 2006 Moral is fuckin strong!!! You guys would make excellent soldiers!!!!It's quite funny how we are SO faithful to something we have no insight about. Personally, I believe it's out of the hands on GNR. It must be at universal, getting the shit together like artwork, copywrited..etc. Kev - I have been, switch your phone on, ya dick!
DCGNR Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Took a few guys who are not heavy into GNR to the concert recently and they were breaking balls saying there's never gonna be a release of this mythical album, that's why he's playing Appetite stuff still, just trying to line his pockets before he croaks All in good fun , but it's a little hard to defend an album that we get absolutely no info onWas the plan to tour with the new band, get the name out there again, generate a little buzz, and then release the album? Not a bad plan, but could you just fucking say so? I don't get too consumed with any of it, really - just saw em' had a blast - still pull the leaks out occassionally, and have pretty much assumed the mantle of " GNR Info guy" among friends, but truth be told, our info is about as reliable and accurate as any bumbs' on the street - Faith? In the ability & talent? YesIn anything else? Not A Fucking Chance :
