just heard on mtv news that the album won't be out until next year.

If this was a fact then they would have written it under the NEWS-topics on their homepage too, where all the news they report on the MTV News clip are posted. I checked and there´s nothing there, and really I don´t think we´ll hear these kind of news from MTV before we hear them from someone else. MTV hasn´t been hard rock orientated since the mid 90:s.

See, that's where me and you differ then mate. Just because I like Mike Patton, it doesn't mean I have to like the music he likes. Mike Patton does not dictate what music I like or not like. I assume you only like rap because Axl does?

Yes, it's such a shame I can't rap and meet the calibre of performers out there talking over processed music. There is no talent about talking fast about being the lowest common denominator in society. I'd like to see one of them pick up a real instrument and play. It's basically poetry over a beatbox or a sample of a classic song they couldn't write in a 1,000 years. Rap/Hip hop of the 80's I like. This current genre is rubbish.

By all means respond. I'm not ashamed to say I don't like rap. I won't follow the masses that listen and like just because it's ont he radio. I don't appreciate rap. Never have, never will. Give me an electric guitar and real drums any day of the week.

Hey I'm with you. I don't like rap either. I used to listen to it to try to fit in, but I wasn't being me. So I don't listen to it anymore. Everybody has got their own taste. I also don't understand how rap is so damn popular, but maybe its just me.

Hey I'm with you. I don't like rap either. I used to listen to it to try to fit in, but I wasn't being me. So I don't listen to it anymore. Everybody has got their own taste. I also don't understand how rap is so damn popular, but maybe its just me.

See, you bring up an excellent point. "I used to listen to it to try to fit in". I see music as your identity and personality. Do you listen to what makes you feel good or do you listen to what everyone listens to so you can fit in whether or not you can relate to it?

Obviously I am a huge fan of Mike Patton. Is he popular anymore? Hell no. Do I care that most people haven't heard of Fantomas, Tomahawk, Peeping Tom, or Mr. Bungle? No. I connect with the music and it means something to me. That's all that matters. I don't care if the radio doesn't play it or if it's too weird for MTV.

And you are more than welcome to that opinion, mate. Just as I am welcome to mine. All it is, is an opinion. See, the difference is, I understand how most don't like Fantomas. It is an acquired taste. I don't get all pissed off and bent out of shape. My wife hates it lol.

I saw that too, they also mentioned that Velvet Revolver is going be going to studio at these moments but MTV has usually pretty easily decided that rumors are facts.

I like rap and hip-hop and that´s not cause it´s trendy, since I tend not to like the trendy rap acts even though I can appreciate some of the trendy music out there but often they´re just one hit wonders. Music taste is pretty hard to debate since we all listen to the things we like for different reasons and it´s hard to say which reasons are the roght ones so I guess we should just let everyone listen to what the hell they want.

Check out my record collection at http://www.pop.nu/en/show_collection.asp?user=6727 to see that my taste in music varies ALOT, since I think it´s pretty lame to place yourself in a genre when there´s so much great music out there. Sure I am mostly hard rock and punk orientated in my taste but at least thats not the only thing I listen to.

Bashing someone for their music taste is just lame-o! ;)

See, I can't discuss this with you as you turn to personal insults. You may bring up some valid points, but I switch off when you don't show the respect to call me anything other than a jack-ass and dim just because I don't like or appreciate your music.

To be honest, if I say I don't like popular music/movies/books it's because I'm free to voice my opinions based on my judgement and evaluation. I really don't care how I appear to others, brighter, dimmer, whatever. You do what you enjoy, and I'll do the same.

Fantômas isn´t music???? They´re probably one of the best bands around according to me. All albums are amazing. Sure some songs take a long time to learn to appreciate but give it one more try and I promise you you´ll like it. Seeing the live is like having sex in heaven! :D

Its pretty obvious now the album won't be out this year, since Nov. 21 came and went without any news.

"It'll be out this year", well Axl, time, and your credibility, is ticking away....
