I think that Axls version has been given to the record company and it is in some sort of process of review and approval. In the mean time, no one is allowed to comment. If Axl says he has done his job and it is on the record company now, then everyone is goint to be pissed at the record company and say Fuck You Universal! or whoever it is, and then just download it. The contract also keeps the record company from bashing Axl. They wont give us a release date because there is not one. The hopes for a late fall release were just that: hopes. Its kinda like buying a car; you make an offer, you get a counter offer and so on. The plan has already been told to us: First, have a tour to re-introduce GNR and remind all the old fans who have forgotten about them that they/Axl are back. Then, they release CD(by they I mean the record company- and it will be whenever they feel like it is a $10m album) and then they tour again at the larger venues while CD goies to the top. There is no statement to make!Yea there was supposed to be video of the tour and yea there were other things promised, but this is Guns N' Fuckn' Roses and they(Axl) doesnt give a fuck about any of that! All he wants to do is show the world his 13 year masterpeice and remind everyone that he still has what everyone loved in 1989- but its only gotten better- just read the reviews of the current tour(not on the forums but in the newspapers and magazines). Seriously people, they invested $10m and there WILL be advertising. We are waiting on the record co. to approve the album, or whatever is they do. Universal is probably worth billions of dollars and there net.revenue must be huge one record isnt going to make a whole lot of difference in the long run no matter who it is. The greatest hits album is still selling 10,000 copies a week which soon ads up so as long as the money's flowing in they couldnt give a shit.
