People will buy the album if the music is good. The reason many people on this forum don't accept the current line up as GNR is BECAUSE they are hard core GNR fans. The general public won't give a shit.

Are you kidding me? In the history of Guns N' Roses, Slash is the only member to have stood toe-to-toe with Axl in terms of stage presence and overall performance. You cannot make that argument for anyone else..

you don't believe that yourself now do you? Being late on every show, not showing up and cancelling shows is hardly professional. you can say whatever you like about Slash and co. but no matter how fucked up their were they always managed to show up on time and play the set.

If Axl releases Chinese Democracy under the name Gn'R...no matter how good it is, no matter how much ass it kicks...he is going to get a more than fatal backlash to his career. What do you think people will do when they go to stores and buy the album and listen to the songs and find they sound nothing like Gn'R, and then further look in the booklet that there are no other Gn'R members on that album but Axl??? Like Izzy said it they will say to Axl "Fuck you wanker this is NOT Guns N' Roses". If half this internet forum (this forum are the strongest of Axl's fans) don't accept this current band as Guns N' Roses, what on earth makes anyone think those people out there will? 4/5 star reviews negative to the band! Calling it the best show Ottawa has seen in years! GLOWING review in Winnipeg. The MPS review that said this "new" Axl should come out on tour again. ROFL. I highly doubt you even read them. Take your licks like a man kid. Cuz right now, you're coming off as a bitter little internet brat.

Most people who are/were GNR fans 10,15 and 20 years ago dont give 2 fucks about the reason why the band split. Of course some of the loyal fans here are still going to talk about it. But I seriously doubt that there will be more than 1% of the people who consider buying it deciding not to, because its not the original line-up. Thats why Axl is still using the GNR name !!!!! the majority of people will hear a single(one will be released), see/hear that Axl is still in GNR and the band is still called "GNR" and they will buy it. Shit- two thirds of the GNR fans are/were actually Axl fans anyway.
