IndiannaRose
I said Robin performed well and the show was great but that the hat was in bad taste. It's amazing people actually say sarcastic things like: '...right, and Slash is the only person to ever wear a top hat'.Robin could come out with a wall of curly black hair one day and these geniuses will say 'Like Slash is the only person to have a mop of curly black hair...'Well in that case someone better tell Robin to stop using Les Pauls. Slash uses them too and therefore it is in poor taste for Robin to appear on stage with one. Are you fucken serious? Your now saying that hes trying to be like Slash cause they use the same fucken guitar. Alot of people use Les Pauls, duh.Ugh. Get a life.Which one of you is being sarcastic.I can't tell. evilempire
Was skimming through most of the posts...if anyone is going to the next two shows...Guns went on around 11:40 pm and finished up at around 2am...and because i hadn't noticed if anyone posted it... Dizzy's piano solo was The Rolling Stones song Angie and the Fortus/Finck guitar duet sounded a lot like Freebird...Honestly, from where i was sitting Ron's hat didn't look a traditional top hat...looked my like an old time "undertakers" type hat...wore it with a long black coat

GeorgeGlass
what would be interesting is if Izzy played on any of the new songsWell a certain member on here who seems very reliable said Izzy co-wrote some of the songs on Chinese DemocracyI find it strange that the day after he posted that, Izzy comes on for maybe 3 or 4 songs (I don't know if he did the encores too), and has his own solo. And Ron didn't have a solo, not even Don't Cry. When asked if Izzy's appearances in Europe were intended to help Axl, Beta said "Axl doesn't need Izzy". Funny thing is that Axl DOES need Izzy...and Slash if he wishes to return GNR back to what they were in the early 90's. With the current lineup, it won't happen...too many delays, too many unknowns (band members included), no identity and not enough time to make it work with them. Some of you can be content with what GNR has become today, but just realize it won't be anywhere near what it once was.

Of course a lot of people use Les Pauls, that's the point I was trying to make. There are only so many brands of guitars and there are only so many types of hats. Yeah Slash wears a top hat sometimes. So did Abraham Lincoln. So did Willy Wonka. To really be offended by Robin wearing one is kind of ridiculous. Who the hell cares, it's just a HAT.
