Ridin' the Nightrain
I hate to admit it but by the 5th and 6th shows this year I started using KOHD, the extreme etended version, to refresh my beer stash and go to the ladies room. I know some won't agree but I think removing this tune could make room for 2 more songs.Agree. The new version is just too long and kinda dull. It lacks the energy of the Illusions versionAnd dragan78, the ending to TWAT may not be as 'fast and furious' as Paradise City, but I think it has just as much energy.Personally, the end solo of TWAT gets me pumped up more than the solo of Paradise City now. With 3 guitarists the Paradise City solo is pretty much a blur of sound at times. There's too much going on. With TWAT I can appreciate what a great solo it is.I think Paradise City leading into TWAT could work well. Or at least I'd like to see it given a chance. D-GenerationX
I don't know this will ever sound good live.Well...Axl's end of it anyway. Its a hard song to sing. Its a hard song to sing along with on listeing on my iTunes, and I'm sitting on my ass at a computer. Imagine doing it on stage. That said, its my favorite of the leaks too. I love that guitar outro. But not enough to replace PC as the closer.
Kill_YourIdols
He should never ever open with anything other than Jungle or close with anything other than Paradise City. Period.Other than that, yeah, he should change stuff. I'm not a guy in bumfuck Iowa who doesn't go to the show like he says. I went 3 times this year, and the first 7 or 8 songs of the set are almost always the same. (Jungle, It's So Easy, Mr. Brownstone, Live And Let Die, You Could Be Mine, and Heaven's Door...always the set openers, that could and will change I'm sure).Part of what made me love Guns to begin with was the random setlists they did. They always closed with PC, but other than that and a few other consistencies, almost anything was possible. But um, TWAT to close the show? No.Perhaps switch it with Madagascar as the encore opener...but not the show closer. You close a big rock show with an uplifting song (with a BANG so to speak), TWAT isn't exactly happy. You can't drop a shitload of confetti and have shower sparks going during TWAT to close the show.My opinion.i agree completely with you

But not enough to replace PC as the closer.I think he sounded good at certain points during the Hammerstein. I can't comment on Madrid since I've not heard it.A lot of his sub-par performance that night was due to the fact it wasn't only the first time they had played it, but also because his voice got considerably better as the tour went on. He literally improved with every show he played. The bits that he did good were great, but unfortunately the bits that he didn't do good on really were quite bad. One extreme to another on that performance. If they hadn't scrapped it and rehearsed it a bit more I genuinely think Axl could nail it something special. It's a shame they seemed to forget about it. TeeJay410
if twat closed the set that would be the most anti climatic thing ever, your supposed to leave a show on a high, twat is a great song, but fuckin a
SterileEyes
I hate to admit it but by the 5th and 6th shows this year I started using KOHD, the extreme etended version, to refresh my beer stash and go to the ladies room. I know some won't agree but I think removing this tune could make room for 2 more songs. But I agree Jungle is the best opener and PC for the finish. Anything in between I would love to see switched up and TWAT should definitely become a permanent part of the set. Even maybe as part of the finale, just not the final encore itself.KOHD was my pee break 2 of the 3 times I saw them this year. Definately doesn't need to be played every single night, but I highly doubt they'll be playing such stagnant sets next tour (if) the album is out. jussi
From the new tracks There Was A Time is the best candidate to close the show. When people get familiar with this track band could maybe extend the There Was A Time, Didn't want to know at all, didn't want to know at all, i don't want to know it now part and make people sing along... Then leave the stage for a minute and come back to finish the show with that bloody amazing soloing
