ChineseDemocracy
Without all the clutter, of talking about my band (http://www.myspace.com/trygemanyband) I wanted to ask you guys (since a lot of you post video on YouTube and such) how to get video off of a DV Camcorder and onto the computer. I read you needed a DV cable, but I cant find one for the life of me. Any suggestions? Edited January 30, 2007 by ChineseDemocracy

Max™
USB is too slow for sending video signals.A DV cable is a posh name for a 6-pin to 4-pin firewire cable. You can get this cable from here:http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/88033You will need a firewire port. If you haven't got one, you will need a PCI card to go on the inside of your PC. Available here:http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/60608After that, if you have Windows XP, use a program called Windows Movie Maker to import the files from your camera. Its a simple program that comes with Windows XP and Vista.
