Estranged Reality Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 (edited) Hey guys,This isn't GN'R.The track on this Coke Zero ad is a modified version of the instrumental song Clubbed to Death by Rob Dougan from the album Furious Angels. You can watch the original instrumental version of it here: It starts at 25 seconds into the song.It is often used in promotional campaigns and it was also used in the film The Matrix in 1999.It does sound exactly the same as I.R.S.... but it's been around longer, as he first released this track in 1996 or 1997 and it was played frequently in clubs. Iceman24 Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 (edited) I guess there are quite a lot songs using this. The soundtrack of the PC game Prand Prix 3 sounds also a bit like this. It was released in 2000. Who would have known that I was listening to I.R.S. back then. Edited March 19, 2007 by Iceman24 Quote
jah772 Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 This riff has been around for ages and ages in one form or another. It's my big complaint against the song. Musically, walking up the scale doesn't show a lot of expiramentation. I like the song a lot more now, but its always been my fear that this riff will make the song laughed at Quote

worldwideboss Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 I like how it sounds... IRS is my favourite Guns N' Roses song since 1993. I think it's one of the best Rock song ever.I like, it's cool and all, but you ought to listen to much more rock music. I.R.S. is clearly not one of the best rock songs ever. Not even close. Quote
