rockstar81 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 After Muse (to play 2x Wembley Stadium next summer), Metallica are going to play one unique UK show there. The new Wembley Stadium holds 90.000 people. What about GN'R? Quote
RNRS Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 GNR wouldn't be able to fill it.Why does every single thing have to be GnR related? Quote
axl_rose_gnr Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 GNR couldn't sell it out. At least not without an album.Metallica are playing and they are bringing ''some friends''. Will be a hell of a gig. Hope the tickets aren't too expensive. Quote
War Of The Roses Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 The 'new' Wembley holds 90,000.no, 90,000 for football75,000 for music Quote

Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven/Matt together would sell it out in a heartbeat. The current incarnation, however, without having released an album, would probably not even sell one third of it. axlsend Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 (edited) When do tickets go on sale?My friend's just bought some on pre-sale.9am in the morning. The 'new' Wembley holds 90,000.no, 90,000 for football75,000 for musicOh.You'd have thought it was the other way round as they can use the pitch area for a gig. Guest Matt13 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 The 'new' Wembley holds 90,000.no, 90,000 for football75,000 for musicSource? Usually when stadiums are set up for music, they hold a lot more (because they open up the field... which most can hold 50k alone, before you count seating).RFK in DC for the GNR/Metallica gig had 110k jammed in there... but the bowl only seated 70k at the time. bangit Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Gnr would fill it guys, maybe even without an album release, if it was the only uk show. Would be fuckin awesome. Quote
Let And Let Live Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Guns n' Roses has alot of fans in the UK, saying wembley would be only 1/3 full is uneducated and wrong. Quote
Maestro Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Guns n' Roses has alot of fans in the UK, saying wembley would be only 1/3 full is uneducated and wrong. And saying it will sell out is naive Quote

Axl_morris Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 It's hard to say, if it was a one of show then I say 'maybe'.They had a UK sell out tour with about 10 venues. Which was more people that wembley can hold combined. Also, remember it's Wembley stadium, all the Europian freaks would flock to see it as well.Although it would have to be cheap tickets (like £25) and the only GNR show in Europe.
