kinda of the subject here

but what happened to bon jovi's bassist that lil short guy?

anyone know?

Alec John Such? He left. Replaced by "member" Huey McDonald.

what was the reason he left sandman?

Well, it was a kinda "left/fired" thing - he was supposedly always drunk/intoxicated whilst playing, kept botching whilst live and just being a general ass. Kinda Adler-esque situation. He was half pushed, but he half jumped. Good riddance, Huey is awesome ^_^ Shame he's not an official member to be honest. Ah well.

bon jovi has not made anything good since the 80's. i just don't understand why he doesn't just retire.

What a fuckin' stupid statement. 'Keep the Faith' (1992) and 'These Days' (1995) were the pinnacle of their creative career.

And no, I'm not debating this.

Also, it's not a "he"...it's "them".

whatever, all i am trying to say is no matter what his band does nowadays will never compare to what they did in the 80's. s.w.w. was released in the 80's and you look at any greatest albums charts their 80's stuff ranks a whole hell of alot higher then their 90's or 00's stuff. so don't give me that crap!

btw i would rather not click those links because i don't want to be exposed to such suckiness.

I could never hate Bon Jovi because they gatewayed me into other rock bands. That being said, I actually really liked Crush (2000) and Bounce (2002). However, I've been losing interest since then with HAND, but I'll always go back to their older material.

I love the album These Days. And Dry County is possibly Bon Jovis finest hour. I am unashamed to admit to owning all BonJovi albums and don't give a crap if that makes me uncool cos I enjoy them.

Plus they put on a real feel good live show - shame Jon can't really hit the high notes these days though.

At least half of New Jersey is pretty good but apart from that their 80's stuff is complete shit, however Keep the faith and These days are proper rock albums which embrace real themes (religion, isolation, lost faith ect...) and have a great selection of songs, not a million miles away from U2 actually. The other album (Crush) which bookends their mature period is also pretty decent but anything after that or before NJ is wank.

New Jersey is their best album, but lets face it: Their most mature and real-rockband-sounding albums are These days and Keep the faith.

It`s really wrong to say they have become pop, beacause they always were in the 80`s (as in pop/heavy)

Have a nice day was a really decent rock/pop album and i think this new one, Lost Highway, can be very interesting to. It`s basically pop/rock with some country elements, but songs like lost highway and any other day really stand out.

And for the record: Dry county is up there with the best songs of all time, including Estranged and Paradise city ;)

Typical, derivative Bon Jovi, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I like to escape into their universe on occasion and indulge myself in some tasty cheese.

I like what I've heard of this new song. Hopefully, it's a consistent album with loads of sentimental pop melodies and infectious hooks.

I'm agree with you on that, those 3 songs are amazing Dry County and If i was your mother are one of my fave!

New Jersey,Keep the Faith and These Days were brilliant absolutely prefect. Their sound has changed over the years but still have their own signature great lyrics and melodies easy to hook up..Living on a Player is an anthem!! rock1

Ahh Born to be my Baby is my song!!! I love it.

I'm gonna add a few more samples: :)

Living in sin.

In These Arms.

These Days.

Wild is the Wind.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=vYcQzxZtdzQ

Only Lonely.

The new song isn't bad it's a pop/country ballad, it's just different.
