artfromtex
anybody dig BOA? i've just recently discovered them, and I'm very glad I did. great '70's rock. Jim Mangrum was David Lee Roth before DLR. his voice is a "love it or hate it" voice, but I happen to love it. search for 'em on youtube and you can find a couple of live vids, but if you can go to iTunes and preview some songs you'll hear some great sounding stuff.some of my favorites so far are: "Uncle Lijah", "Hot and Nasty", "Gravel Roads", "Swimming In Quicksand", "When Electricity Came To Arkansas", and of course their only hit, "Jim Dandy".oh yeah Tommy Aldrige (Ozzy, Whitesnake) is the drummer on almost all of their stuff. Zint
Jim DandyYeah I kinda liked them back in the day.I used to see them them in the early 70's on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert,Midnight Special and ABC's In Concert.Jim Dandy was a low scale hit....but a cool one at the time. They were kinda Van Halen meets Lynard Skynard...before either band was really happening! Some cool songs,a lot more fun to watch than to just listen to.I never really expected big things from them...but a cool enough band!...good find Art!
