*i don't get the fascination with Pink Floyd. yes, they've got some good songs/albums but to give them this god-like status seems absurd. it's basically music for drugged out teenage mental patients. maybe it's a U.S./Rest of the world thing.

even thats a compliment. i m a drugged out teenage mental patient and even i found them quite insulting really. like a real ham-fisted attempt at being cryptic and "good for a high" music when it was just obvious and generic, particularly lyrically.

Waters/Gilmour vs. EVH/DLR?

It's interesting, they're such opposite sides of rock. The serious, dark, somber guys vs. the fast, excessive, party dudes. Should be an interesting match, but it's not. Because Careful With That Axe Eugene alone beats the entire VH catalogue.
