Raw Power Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 One of my favourite guitarists died this morning. Robert Burås, the lead guitarist of the Norwegianband Madrugada which is one of my favourite bands. It really sucks to start the weekend with these news. He was a great man, may he rest in peace! Not their best performance, but its not that many videos of Madrugada on youtube. Quote
Guest knerken Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 (edited) That "Knowledge" video is great!! Do I hear the first seconds of Journey To The End Of The East Bay at the end there? Rage Against The Machine - Guerilla Radio live '99And yeah, it was very sad about Robert Burås. Great guitarplayer and songwriter. RIP Edited July 13, 2007 by knerken Quote

swlabr Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 (edited) Rory Gallagher and Jack Bruce - Politician True musicianship at its best. Rory didn't know the song previously and still managed to improvise through it. During the solo, they both do a "call and respond" sort of thing. It's just an awesome performance that showcases two prodigies becoming one.Santana - Soul Sacrifice at Woodstock Just look at the drummer Albert King - Born Under A Bad Sign His tone is beautiful!!!Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood He must have awful calluses on his fingers! Blistering guitar playing.SRV - Testify Blues on steroid, like some guy said in a comment. Edited July 13, 2007 by swlabr Quote
