Voted Mutt. What he did with AC/DC was awesome. What he did with Def Leppard was a little too polished, but still good. Def Leppard is the kind of band that needs a very polished sound anyway.

Ted Templeman is a close 2nd, in my opinion.

All bands need a 3rd party to come in and say, "It sounds great, but do this, change that" etc....

By the way, does anybody know why Mutt Lange refuses to have his picture taken?

I know he was in a car wreck years ago. Is that the reason? Just curious.

I voted Mutt, but I'd rather change it to Ted. Having the guitar in one speaker and the band in the other one is great. Bob Rock is terrible though, his production is always overblown.

Bob Rock's name pops up a lot, but how many of his records are really all that good?

Ted Templeman's pretty cool.

But Mutt Lange is just more diverse. He can make both raw sounding rock albums and stylized pop with the best of them.
