My discovery today after digging out Renegades and The Battle Of Los Angeles for the first time in a while.. Is that;

Listening to RATM is very nearly orgasmic. They have actually got -the- perfect sound.

Amazing.

And imagine how fast Timmy C's fingers must move

Seriously though; anyone else a huge fan?

They're genius. Go see them live-they put on an amazing performance. I hope this reunion isn't temporary-would be nice to hear some new music from them.

Incredible band. The debut and Battle of Los Angeles albums are phenominal.

Really hope they aren't reuniting for just a tour, but will be hard at work on a new album. Can't wait to see 'em at Alpine Valley later this month.

Added: Chris, if you haven't given 'em a thorough listen, check those 2 albums out I mentioned. You can't like heavy, aggressive music and not dig those. I hate rap and I hate overly political music, but those are 2 of my fav albums of all time. They just kick your ass...

I always found it odd they were signed to a Sony label with their political message.

Aside from that, very few bands blend together the number of genres that RATM do with perfection. I'm not as big as them as I was a few years ago, but it's impossible to listen to them and not have a desire to mosh like your life depended on it. I hope I get a chance to see them live.

Great music, though I always run Zach's bullshit through a mental filter.

Rage are great. I listen to them when i'm angry.

I think you missed the point. Great music, but I find it hard to take much of what Zach says seriously. So, like I say, I ignore it.

Not at all. I was laughing because I do the same thing.

Is there anyone who actually does take the lyrics seriously?

For those that think all the New GNR solos suck the life out of the shows, try watchin' a totally kick ass Rage concert DVD only to have it interrupted by numerous propoganda segments about the Zapatistas.

Worse than bein' blue-balled. :xmassrudolph:

Also strong rumours about them headlining the BDO next year. Also rumours about QOTSA and Velvet Revolver, which gives my pants area a nice little tingle just thinking about it.
