s_vonen Posted June 12, 2005 Share Posted June 12, 2005 (edited) Well I just had the greatest day ever.Out of all the places in the world, Nelson Mandela him self chose Tromsø as location for the second "Mandela-Concert". The organisation taking care of everything is called 46664, which was Mandela's prisoner-number when we was imprisoned. So over here they turned a huge footballarea into a concert venue, and 18 000 people attended, it was 8 hours of endless fun.The whole show kicked off with a local artist at 5 pm, and the artists kept on coming until 2 am. Me and my friends were right up front so we could see everything from where we were standing. There were several good artists on the bill, Brian May, Peter Gabriel, Anqueline Kidjo, Robert Plant,Johnny Clegg, Annie Lennox and heaps of norwegian ones. There were duets and everything, and it was just a blast The highlight was when Robert Plant and the strange sensation ended their set with Whole Lotta Love, Robert can still pull those old songs off So, yeah, just had to get it off my chest Edited June 12, 2005 by s_vonen Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
