The majority of the quotes in the book are either from interviews Mick Wall had done before his fallout with Axl and the band (he says that after a small break he has remained in good terms with Slash, but I don't think they're in contact now) or from third party sources. The only people he spoke directly with are Niven, Goldstein and the omnipresent Vicky Hamilton (the "anonymous insiders" he references don't count).
