Are YOU Experienced?

I AM

The drums in Manic Depression go beyond awesomeness

And Purple Haze is one of the top songs of all time

"Foxey Lady!"

Love the use of it in Wayne's World.

Gotta be my favorite song off that album.

Manic Depression and Purple Haze are tied for second.

The Wind Cries Mary and Hey Joe are my 2 favorites, I dont think they wrote a bad song.

"Hey Joe" is a cover, if you didn't know.

I love hey joe, its a shame jimi didnt write it though.

I'd have to say that although Jimi's version is very good, Roy Buchanan's is better.

Haven't heard his, The Byrds' version is awful.

His version from the live in japan ep is one of the most haunting musical performances I've ever heard. Have a listen to it here: http://www.myspace.com/roybuchanantribute

'Axis' is my favorite album. 'One Rainy Wish', 'Up From The Skies', 'Axis Bold As Love', Etc... - Lyrically and musically the most well rounded album from that band. For straight lead playing I like the 'Band Of Gypsies' live New Year's album.
