  1. the first lines and rhymes of „sorry“ are just horrible (e.g. „do“ - „you“ //  „in“ - „in“ // and again: „do“ - „you“ …) very selfrighteous song all in all … though the line: „it‘s harder to live with the truth about you // than to live with the lies about me“ is ok … ;)

other than that: „get in the ring“, „if the world“ (both mediocre songs anyways)  n‘ „rhiad“ (cool one musically) are lyrical lowpoints in my opinion … i always understood „one in a million“ as a provocative „role-poem“, so i can live with that …

but let‘s rather make a thread about the best gnr-lyrics n‘ lines! :)

I've listened to it quite a few times over the last days and it is a solid track. Like a few people said, the production is weird; the track sounds pretty bad on my speakers but it is much better through headphones.

While the track has overall improved with each new listen, the breakdown/slow section has done the opposite. Everytime I listen to Hard Skol, my mind keeps on expecting a long solo to kick in and then the song just stops for about 30 seconds. Really hurts its momentum and, IMO, doesn't fit the lyrics or the rest of the track. To be honest, the breakdown reminds me of those parts in concerts when a song is stopped flat so the singer can give a shout out to the different band members.

the breakdownsection really breaks the song down. anything else - productionwise - i can forgive, but those 30 seconds (feels longer than kohd live)  after the cool solo-start by slash really macdaddy the fun out of it and kill the dynamics ...

I really like Hardschool, especially the verses and chorus. I'm not crazy about the intro/bridge/guitar solos, but that could easily be fixed with Duff and Slash.

yeah, either that; or they leave the lead guitar(s) during the "solo" in the background and that section serves as a bridge with some vocals and sung melodies added (maybe even doubeling some of the guitar-parts lyrically/vocally)... would give the song more dynamics and make it more diversified ... the way it is done now the track appears too repetitive imho (although i like the hooks) and is kinda running out of stream during that solo-part ...
