  1. DC looks like all the cheap tix are sold, the $285s in the lower bowl closer to the stage are embarassingly plentiful as are many of the $150 tix in the 2nd level near the stage.  Definitely keeping an eye on this as a 2nd show option if demand doesn't pick up as, out of all the shows in the north east, this one could be a buyers market.

  2. For a 2nd public performance/first official show of the tour, with a broken foot and lack of oxygen breaks that he used in every single nuGuns show/tour up until this and the Troubadour, he sounded great.  He should've been standing still for the last 12 years.

me too! incredible moment and kid rock on night train was funny haha

Was that the final night?  I was there as well.  Front row in the 1st balcony - perfect view.  The arena-level pyro had everyone in a flash sweat.  The best thing about that whole run was that management worked with fan forum to get members special presale access.  I pulled a bunch and sold 'em at face to other board members.  Really good fan atmosphere at the pre-show get together (Mustang Sally's?), on the line outside and at the show.

MSG 2002 last night of tour.......before well ya know. Axl was electric and the place was a madhouse

also Camden in 2011 was great check out vids on youtube

I was at the MSG show and it was wild.  The crowd was super excited, despite the delays and outright terrible opener.  I freaked out a bit when he started "The Blues."  (Why he opted to ruin the wordless coda with the "what they tell ya", I'll never understand). It seemed like Axl was really coming back strong and trying to make the band work.  The whole experience still holds a special place in my mind.

sure they are squeezing us for $, but just think about it- what if the whole thing implodes and this was your only chance to enjoy this thing we all thought would never happen? would you be kicking yourself for not shelling out a few extra bucks? for all we know this could be it the final cash in and axl retires.

This is what they're counting on.  The "last chance/ f*ck it here's $200" purchase.  Most of us are (happily) guilty.

  6. Straight out: this is a cash-in reunion tour.  Live Nation is looking to sell as many tickets as possible with as few dates/travel expense.  Arena shows at these prices would be easier sells but you'd likely need to add dates/markets to make the ticket count up. Unfortunately, the ticket prices are inflated considering the distance to stage in a stadium.  Nearly $200 for the back half of the lower bowl?  I doubt the production is going to be at a Stones or U2 level.  People I know who'd like to go are balking at paying $100+ to stare at a screen and see matchstick-sized GNR on the stage.  The band will still knock it out in the bigger cities, but you could see papering in the nosebleeds and possibly the $285 seats in the lower-tier markets.
