  3. I got my tickets for the Vancouver show on Friday. I'm looking forward to the new album and tour. Thank god Noel and Liam are still around. They are the last real rock stars who release albums, that are under 50 years of age.

Unfortunately they're not doing any concerts up here in the North but Im gonna try go see them somewhere in Europe.

The new record should be really interesting. Noel has said it's gonna have a grand sound with groovy and psychedelic 60's influences.

I agree that they're one of few bands left nowadays that still delivers good music and can put on a great show. Their music is leaning more towards rock now than it used to but their lifestyle has always been rock n' roll.

  4. I like that everyone is like "Play this unreleased song, or this one," you guys have no idea what any of the songs sound like, so just say, "New song, other new song," you just assume those (since they are the most mentioned titles) are the best songs. I would however like Axl to throw in (from the existing, by that I mean Everett setlist) Perfect Crime, Right Next Door to Hell, Civil War, DON'T DAMN ME!!!!!!!!!!, Don't Cry, and Yesterdays or 14 Years to the list.

Well, of course I want to hear new music and I agree with you on the UYI songs too.

TITLE: AXL ROSE's New Managers Are 'Honored' That Singer Has Placed His Trust In Them

    TEXT:

Longtime managers Irving Azoff and Andy Gould, who have just signed an agreement to represent GUNS N' ROSES and the band's frontman Axl Rose, have released the following statement regarding the new partnership:

"Axl Rose and GUNS N' ROSES is and will always be one of the most important recording and touring artists of our time, and one of the great rock n roll voices for his generation. We are honored that Axl has placed his trust in us."

According to Billboard.com, Azoff and Gould bring a wealth of managerial experience to the table. Azoff currently serves as chairman/CEO of Los Angeles-based Front Line Management Group. He personally represents such artists as THE EAGLES, CHRISTINA AGUILERA, NEIL DIAMOND, VAN HALEN and STEELY DAN. Gould, a former senior partner at the Firm, currently manages ROB ZOMBIE, STATIC-X and PRIMUS/LES CLAYPOOL.

It is interesting to note that up until recently, Azoff Music also managed VELVET REVOLVER, the band featuring Axl's former GN'R bandmates Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum. Azoff is continuing to represent VR's singer, Scott Weiland, an Azoff spokesperson confirmed to BLABBERMOUTH.NET.

  6. Yeah. They are great, defiantly one of Norways best band.

Ye, and that speaks volumes of about Norwegian music. ;p

I've seen them live twice and they're pretty good on stage but they don't have the music to back it up. It's seems like they write their songs backwards... First they try to come up with a cool title, then add some textbook riffs and try to put down a few cool sounding words. The result is very mediocre.

  7. "Monday night was FOOTASTIC" With brilliant headlines like that, you should be a journalist... ;)

Glad to hear you had a great time! I saw them at Roskilde (Denmark) in 2005 and it was a blast. they definitely know how to put on a good show. I sometimes feel like their songs sound too much alike, especially towards the end of the show. But I agree, worth go seeing.

  8. Rock group Oasis has claimed the top two spots in a poll of Britain’s best ever albums released today, ahead of iconic albums by The Beatles and Pink Floyd.

Oasis’s 1994 album Definitely Maybe and (What’s the Story) Morning Glory from 1996 came number one and two respectively, according to a survey by Q magazine and retailer HMV to find the 50 best ever British albums.

Radiohead’s OK Computer came in third, while the Beatles’ Revolver could only finish fourth in the survey of 11,000 people.

Two other albums by Oasis made it into the top 25 -- Don’t Believe the Truth, at 14, and Be Here Now, at 22.

“It’s clear that, having polled three times more votes than any other act, Oasis are undoubtedly the nation’s most loved band,” said Paul Rees, editor of Q magazine.

Rudy Osorio, HMV head of music, said people were starting to “recognise the iconic appeal of Oasis and the brilliance of Definitely Maybe as an era-defining album”.

The full list of 50 British albums was heavily dominated by rock bands, including The Clash, Pink Floyd, Queen and Arctic Monkeys.

Five albums by the Beatles made it onto the list. The only female artist to be included was Amy Winehouse, whose Back to Black came in at number 35.

    THE TOP 10

    1. Definitely Maybe - Oasis

    2. (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? - Oasis

    3. OK Computer – Radiohead

    4. Revolver - The Beatles

    5. Stone Roses - Stone Roses

    6. Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles

    7. London Calling - The Clash

    8. Under the Iron Sea - Keane

    9. Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd

    10. Urban Hymns - The Verve.

  9. Definitely one of my fav bands. Great tunes, especially from Urban Hymns, and Richard Ashcroft got some good ones from his solo albums as well.

I don't think they're better than Oasis but I'm looking forward to hearing new material from them this year.

  10. I'm not arguing against it, but couldn't members with slow connections turn off signatures if it's taking too long to load?

They could but it would be annoying even for people with highspeed connections to browse pages with 15 large signatures and avatars. It's a cool feature so we rather see that everyone follows the few simple guidelines than forcing some to turn it off.

  11. and Satanisk_Slakt mods do check signatures

    I could easily find more.

I couldn't care less to look, though.

I don't think it's that really big a deal, either way. I really only question the ones that are above 50kb.

Because I'd love to have one that big, or bigger.

Thanks, the signatures have now been edited and removed. I just want to add that we have the signature rules for a good reason, to make it easy for our members to browse the forum. Especially for those with a slow internet connection.

So please follow the few simple guidelines we have regarding the avatars and signatures:
