  1. I used to post quite a bit circa 2005-7. Just sort of read threads to keep me up to speed since then.

I do miss my old confrontational debates with Axls_Disillusion/Jim Bob..what happened to that guy?

Ah I remember the days of JDRM, Sweetness, DopeSickGirl, Gryfon, Montrealer, Kickingthehabit, Kaneda, Streetchild, Patience_4_Axl, Thomasmeadows!...and of course Madison. And the rest!

Shit, it's like a high school reunion. I'm off to the bar..

  2. Some ridiculous posts in this thread. NOWHERE in the official promotion for the show did it state that Axl would be there. Slash does not have to address some random reunion rumour on some GNR fan sites that haven't even been picked up by mainstream press outlets. Neither does Axl for that matter. If the rumour DID grow legs and was reported widely I have no doubt both camps would have dispelled it with a press release before the show.

As is, Slash played a show with some special guests (both of whom were officially reported as making an appearance BEFORE the show). Nobody was misled. The crowd had a great fucking time.

    Peace.

  3. I will never understand why he has this constant need to bash and humilliate the songs that made GN'R massive and popular, just because they were written by Axl? Some months ago he trashed SCOM... what's next, Estranged? And the worst is that he words it out as if it was all a big joke.... "i have no clue, i didn't care, i did my thing, GN'R sucked, they were Axl's shitty ballads I hated to the bone, blah blah blah.."

    Seriously, it ain't cool anymore.

He isn't trashing the song. He said he doesn't know what Axl's concept for the video was - an opinion not exclusively held by just him.

The agenda you are desperate to find isn't there.

  4. Well I don't post here often but this place was always the first place I came to keep up to date with the crazy world of GN'R. It's a real shame it will be closing down.

Guns N' Roses fans are probably the most loyal fans in the world-we just keep supporting no matter how many times we're shit on from a great height. Sometimes it sucks being a GN'R fan.

Ah well, thanks for the memories, the debates, the excitement, the controversy, you lovely people of MYGNR.

  5. Although this is probably true I always have to question anything 'official' when it concerns Guns N' Roses.

    Good point :tongue2:

I really hope they do announce arena dates. Three dates in Manchester would be heaven.

  6. No UK arena dates this year according to official forums announcement:

    GUNS N’ ROSES TO HEADLINE

Sunday 29th August at The Leeds Festival

When Axl Rose strides on stage to headline the Reading and Leeds Festivals this August he is introducing one of the most outstanding, successful and controversial rock bands we have seen in the last 25 years. An acclaimed and thrilling live act, GUNS N’ ROSES’ countless hits have become soundtracks for music fans all over the world. The band played a spectacular show at Leeds Festival in 2002 and this is incredibly their first ever appearance at Reading. Their latest album ‘Chinese Democracy’ was number one in 13 countries and has received countless awards all over the world. This is their only UK appearance this year.

  7. A truly fascinating insight. What you say actually does make a lot of sense.

I'm not sure as to what you were trying to say about the whole 'Slash-Guitar Hero' thing though? Are you saying there was a problem with the game representing Slash playing 'Jungle' in it or something? Sorry if I'm just reading into it wrong but I just wasn't quite sure as to what you were getting at. :P

Anyway, Thanks for this Ax, and have a great Christmas! :xmassrudolph:

  8. i dont know where to put this so ill put it here. last night i went to the journey def leppard concert in columbus ohio. in between the sets teddy was playing with some band for some rock n roll fantasy camp or something. he played bass for the band "toys in the attic" when he came off i shoke his hand and said good job. i feel special

He plays bass too? Hm, you learn something new every day.

  9. I don't see any hatred to all of the new lineup though  The only criticisms are ones made about Finck. You don't see any 'fuck Fortus' or 'fuck Thal' threads etc.

On topic-I like the new GnR as it is but wouldn't want Slash playing that material because it just isn't...him. Slash is a full out rock n'roll guy, I couldn't imagine him playing on stuff like Catcher etc.

  10. I love the song :P although it is getting a bit too much into the Elton John style of which I'm not much of a fan of. I love the lyrics though- 'what I thought was beautiful don't live inside of you anymore' I can relate to that. :)

  11. .

The only reason i can think of why your bashing the band is because the new GnR album is getting close, but wheres VR?

Your arguement kinda falls apart there mate.

    Chinese Democracy-13 years and counting.

    Libertad-2 years and counting?

There really was no point in bringing that one up.

On topic-Not another one of these threads A_D

A_D, you're just as bad as them so get the fuck over it.
